Dallas McPherson was back in the lineup and didn't do much against Sky Sox pitching, so it was a good thing that Adam Pavkovich and Jason Aspito both homered. Jonathan Rouwenhorst held down the Sox for only two runs over six innings of work.
2006-08-14: Arkansas 1, Frisco 0 #
Wood: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Evans: 0-2, 1 K

What a game for Nick Green, who needs to be congratulated profusely for this fantastic gem, outpitching Eric Hurley. The Travs scored one in the first, on a Brandon Wood groundout. It was the only run either side would score.

Another dominant performance by Timothy Schoeninger, who's flirting with a 9.00 K/9 (53 K vs 57.1 IP). He's walked three all season, and today gave up only a two-out double; no Giant advanced to third, and this despite a 25 MPH wind blowing straight out to center. Dustin Miller extended his scoreless innings streak to seven.

Las Vegas rallied for seven in the seventh to tie the score 8-8, and for two more in the top of the tenth to win it; Mark Alexander got the win, pitching two scoreless frames. Lance Carter posted a zero frame in bottom of the tenth for the save, his eleventh of the year. Delwyn Young homered, and Wilson Valdez drove in three.
