Cory Lidle Might Miss $1.5M Death Benefit

Cory Lidle's heirs might miss out on a $1.5M death benefit paid by MLB if he were piloting the plane in which he died. The plan contains an exclusionary clause that disallows payment for "any incident related to travel in an aircraft ... while acting in any capacity other than as a passenger."

Comments:
Maybe his family could claim that the problem was that he was the passenger and NO ONE was flying the plane.

He was flying with an instructor at the time but it's not clear who was flying the plane.
