OT: Busy As A Bee

We awoke last Sunday to find a colony of bees had taken over the squirrel guard over the birdbath in our backyard, and were building a hive. I rented a macro lens from Samy's Camera in Costa Mesa, pointed the camera up and pulled the trigger. Pretty good for flying blind, if I do say so myself.

Comments:
so what are you going to do with them?

We've got a call in to a place that specializes in getting rid of bees. Hopefully that will work out, though from what I've read, beekeepers aren't much on late-season transplants.

The birdbath is now absolutely covered in dead bees.
