OT: RIP Milton Friedman
The Wall Street Journal ($$) reports that economist Milton Friedman has passed overnight in his sleep; of heart failure. He was 95.
Friedman was a brilliant defender of free markets and libertarian principles generally; his PBS series "Free To Choose" was a landmark at a time that arguably marked the end of a high-water time for big government. (Of course, that doesn't mean that big government, which became unfashionable to publicly support, ever went away...) He is survived by his wife Rose, who co-authored many of his books.
