Gammons: Angels, Sox Talking Crede Again

Thanks to Brian for the word that Peter Gammons at the end of today's blog entry says that the Angels and Chisox are talking about Joe Crede again, this time for Erick Aybar, this predicated on how likely Juan Uribe is to be a full time player. Uribe was having legal troubles in the Dominican that might have required him to report to a Dominican judge on the 15th and 30th of each month.

Comments:
Stoneman should offer Cabrera for Crede, straight up. He won't, of course, but still...

Cabrera for Crede straight up? Heh. That would be absolute insanity from a Chicago standpoint.

I put little credibility in this Gammon rumor. His report states that Crede will be a free agent after 2007. NOT TRUE. He's a free agent after 2008. If Gammons cannot even get this basic fact straight...

Might as well trade them Aybar and McPherson. Its not like we're going to use him anyway.

I stand by my position that Stoneman would never have offered Ervin as part of the deal. That's just not in his character, and those were evil rumors.
