Hey, You Got Oakland In My Erstad! Mmmm!
Gritty Veteran Presence takes another step forward today (and Billy Beane's reputation takes a step back) as the A's have apparently made a one-year offer to Darin Erstad.

Ahh - but Erstad's value is pretty low - if they can get him for next to nothing, it's probably not a bad move. I'm guessing Ersty hasn't had a huge number of good offers....?

I find it hard to believe that there's no one in the A's system who could be expected to produce at replacement level, which is all you can expect from Erstad - at best.
