Matt White Profiled On ABC News Tonight

Brian Clevinger writes to inform me that potential billionaire and Dodger reliever ("potential" attaches to both, by the way) Matt White, a man who has his schist together, will be interviewed on ABC News Tonight. Check your local listings.

Update: Red Sox Monster has a look at the property from space, among other things, and some details of the area and the property sale. Interesting stuff.

it's the last story of the national ABC evening news - it just finished here in AZ.

Move over Steve Bedrosian! Matt White is the new Fred Flintsone of Bedrock!

What is the batting average of Mica Schist? I doubt that it can bat .300, where 70% of its value goes into mining it. Let's presume Schist can hit the Uecker line. A .200 average leaves Matt White with a 480 million dollar profit. That is well short of a billion dollars. Sportwriters' economic forecasts are not better than their medical prognoses.

Frank McCourt should not worry at night about White buying the Dodgers out from under him. McCourt's Boston parking lots are almost certainly worth more than White's slate mine. White will be lucky to pocket more than double digit (10-99) millions from his slate mine. If $100 million is the over/under I am taking the under. We are not talking a gold mine or a New England Teapot Dome here! That said, I would rather be lucky than good. Perhaps Matt White was practicing his April Fool's Day joke on March 1st. Slow day in Spring Training? Let's make Matt White a billionaire! Somebody kissed the blarney stone. The fastest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your wallet.
