Rangers' Park Name Sponsor Withdraws
Via The Griddle, the Rangers' name sponsor, Ameriquest, a subprime mortgage lender, have backed out of their commitment to the Rangers, and the park will now be known as Rangers Ballpark at Arlington. I think I like that better. So does Tom Hicks:
"I feel great," Rangers owner Tom Hicks said. "We're getting our brand back. Based on our research with our fans, the prevailing feeling is that our ballpark is our biggest asset and we needed to have our brand on it."Branding... branding... where have I heard that before?
