Josh Rawitch, You Are Part Of The Problem
This is infuriating:
I noticed that the comment section in yesterday's post only included two comments on parking: one positive and one negative. I guess that's about the same as an early peek of the morning media, as the L.A. Times seemed to have found a lot of fans who were frustrated, while the Daily News seemed to have spoken with those who thought it was better than in years past. And among my friends who came to the came, some said it was easier than ever while others battled heavy traffic on the streets before getting into the parking lot. I think that's to be expected on Opening Day, when parking is at its absolute worst, particularly as the crowd lets out onto freeways that are backed up already from regular afternoon traffic. But, thank you to everyone for their patience and hopefully everyone will wait to see how the new parking plan works under normal circumstances. I can tell you this much - every Dodger employee parked offsite and was shuttled in to try and make more spots for the fans, so any parking issues were certainly not from a lack of effort. We are committed to fixing a problem that has lasted nearly 50 years and as always, we welcome everyone's feedback. This was already tried under "normal" circumstances during the Freeway Series, and found wanting on a 29,841 attendance game, not much more than half capacity. And as for the "lack of effort" comment, that wasn't what people have been complaining about: it's the failure to take any iniative in helping to rectify obvious problems, parking lot employees standing around idle while traffic also stood idle. (And once again, where's the apology to drivers with disabled placards who were robotically shunted to the same lots as everyone else instead of to the disabled parking stalls?)
I've met Josh previously, and he seems to be a good guy, but this is just plain disingenuous.

Comments:
RM-- Before reading Josh's propaganda post, I had already written a long manifesto on SoSG about how out of touch and irresponsible McCourt management has become. Thanks for pointing out yet another example of them turning a blind eye to the problem. I have every assurance that tonight, and tomorrow, and every other date until they come clean and address this issue, will be exactly more of the disastrous same.
It amuses me that Jon gets heat for being some sort of Dodger basher, while you are the real flame thrower. I guess it is the Dodger in Dodger Thoughts that does it. I was shocked when I read the title: "OT: Kathy You're a Stupid Slut". Good thing though, we need a little vitriol because Jon is so amazingly even keeled.
