- Travelerocity has learned a few things, including how to appreciate the new Travs manager, Bobby Magellanes, Sean Rodriguez ("I like Rodriguez more than Brandon Wood at shortstop on both offense and defense"), and Curtis Pride. Wood suffered a significant drop in production on offense when moving to the Texas League, but we'll see if he's singing the same tune after a full season of Sean Rodriguez.
- The Dodgers might be able to pick up Willy Aybar as a free agent now that the Braves have suspended him indefinitely following his failure to report for last night's game against the Cubs. He started the season on the DL with a spring training hand injury, from which he recovered slowly. He did not travel with the team to Washington for games on Monday and Tuesday.

The Quakes scored the winning run in the top of the eighth, when Brad Coon reached on an error by second baseman Matt Antonelli; with Hainley Statia batting, he stole second and third, and Statia plated him with an RBI groundout to the pitcher. Darren O'Day got the save by pitching an inning and two-thirds scoreless frames in relief.

Cyr allowed four runs but did not take the loss; Wesley Wright pitched a scoreless eighth. Jacksonville offense got Cyr off the hook in the top of the ninth by tying the game 4-4, but Jonathan Meloan took the loss in the bottom of the frame, when he wild-pitched in the losing run. (What is that, a run-off instead of a walk-off?)
