Roamin' Holliday: Rockies 7, Dodgers 2

About what you'd expect when you've got a slap-hitter like Lieberthal in the cleanup slot and Derek Lowe couldn't piece together a decent outing. Probably the best news was Grady Little's tacit acknowledgement that Juan Pierre shouldn't be used as a leadoff man, batting second.

Matt Holliday was nearly perfect at the plate, going 3-4 and scoring a pair of runs; former Dirtbag Troy Tulowitzki even cashed in a couple runners with an RBI single in the seventh. But the Dodgers didn't have much to talk about; that included a throwing error by playing-time-starved Andre Ethier that cost a shaky Lowe an unearned run. Lowe made up for one of his own runs allowed by driving in one, and Chin-Hui Tsao pitched a scoreless frame and a third in relief of the shaky starter. The effort was Tsao's 2007 debut, his first game with the Dodgers, and his first against his old employer.
