Scores

2007-06-20: Salt Lake 9, Tucson 8 #
Gorneault: 2-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Wood: 1-4, 1 3B, 2 RBI
Morales: 1-4
Mathis: 2-3, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB
Bonilla: 4.1 IP, 6 R, 5 ER, 10 H, 5 K, 3 BB, 2 HR, 5.67 ERA
Shell: (W, 4-1) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 5.00 ERA
Jones: (S, 1), 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 4.50 ERA
Trailing 8-5 going into the eighth, the Bees came up with a four-run rally that erased a five-hit, four-RBI performance by former Angel prospect Alberto Callaspo, who was a triple short of the cycle. Jeff Mathis had a three-run bomb to cap scoring in the eighth, and Nick Gorneault had a solo homer in the effort. Greg Jones collected his first save by pitching a scoreless eighth and ninth.
2007-06-20: Arkansas 4, Springfield 7 #
Sandoval, F: 3-5, 3 2B, 1 RBI
Rodriguez, S: 0-4, 2 K
Porter: 2-4, 3 RBI
Wilson: 0-4, 2 K
Peel, A: 2-4, 1 2B
Diaz: 6.1 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 9 H, 0 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 4.58 ERA
Thompson: (L, 1-3) (in relief), 1.2 IP, 3 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 2.18 ERA
Rich Thompson gave up a three-run double in the eighth to become the game's losing pitcher, but all the runs were unearned thanks to a Sean Rodriguez error. Greg Porter drove in three and went 2-for-4.
2007-06-20: Rancho Cucamonga did not play
2007-06-20: Cedar Rapids did not play
2007-06-20: Ogden 2, Orem 4 #
De Los Santos: 1-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 K
Veras: (W, 1-0), 6.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 8 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Hurst: 1.1 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 6.75 ERA
Dinga: (S, 1), 1.2 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Vladimir Veras, who had a terrific season last year in the AZL, had a fine start for Orem this year, pitching six innings of shutout ball with eight strikeouts, one walk, and two hits. He retired his first seven batters in order, and 10 of the last 11.

Anel De Los Santos, a Dominican catcher with an undistinguished record last year in the AZL, is off to a hot start this year, going 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the second.

2007-06-20: AZL Angels did not play
2007-06-20: Colorado Springs 7, Las Vegas 4 #
Valdez: 3-5
Young: 2-5, 1 3B, 1 HR, 3 RBI
Lindsey: 3-5, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K
Maza: 2-4
Houlton: (L, 5-3), 4.2 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 6 H, 6 K, 2 BB, 3.86 ERA
Riley: 2.0 IP, 4 R, 2 ER, 6 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 1 HR, 6.94 ERA
D.J. Houlton keeps making the case for himself not to be on the 25-man roster, which is too bad because the Dodgers sure could use him. He didn't make it out of the fifth inning here, the third straight start he's failed to post a quality start. That (and a bad bullpen) wasted good offensive outings by Delwyn Young (2-for-5 with a three-run homer) and John Lindsey (2-for-5 with 3 RBIs).
2007-06-20: Carolina vs. Jacksonville: Postponed: Rain #
Again rescheduled; they'll try consecutive doubleheaders today and Friday.
2007-06-20: Inland Empire did not play
2007-06-20: Great Lakes did not play
2007-06-20: Ogden 2, Orem 4 #
Rosario: 3-5, 2 K
Brooks, D: (L, 0-1), 5.0 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 6 H, 4 K, 4 BB, 1 HR, 5.40 ERA
Haldis: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
2007-06-20: GCL Mets 2, GCL Dodgers 3(Suspended: Rain) #
Appears to have been suspended in the top of the third with two out, but since the GCL is pretty lame about issuing rescheduling information, we'll just have to wait. My guess is an attempt to play today, which would have been an off day for the Dodgers, or a doubleheader on the 25th, which was an already scheduled contest against the Dodgers.

Sorry, but University of Florida and academics is an oxymoron, though I'll rate them ahead of FSU and Miami.
