No No-No: Dodgers 6, Pirates 5

Multiple rule 9 violations by Rick Monday.

This game is no longer interesting.
Between those two posts, and following Rick Monday's announcement of the no-hitter, Derek Lowe's no-hitter fell apart and nearly turned upside-down, as the Pirates erased the three runs the Dodgers scored in the top of the frame with three of their own. Grady Little likened the game to a April 27, 2002 no-hitter against Tampa Bay, but Lowe shrugged it off: "I still gave up four runs."

A wobbly Jonathan Broxton got the save, giving up a leadoff single to Freddy Sanchez. Jason Bay hit into a fielder's choice that erased Sanchez at second, but Adam LaRoche, now playing first for the Bucs, doubled and drove home Bay. It was surprising to see Broxton like this, but you forget that LaRoche still has a chance to be a good player.
