Roster Notes
A lot of this is just overdue...
- The Angels sent down Joe Saunders after yesterday's excellent game, in order to make room for Garret Anderson, who made his first start today since coming off the DL; Anderson was 0-3 with a strikeout in today's game.
- Kendry Morales got optioned to AAA Salt Lake on Saturday to make room for Joe Saunders.
- Maicer Izturis will start his rehab assignment with Rancho Cucamonga on Monday.
- The Dodgers believe Takashi Saito's hamstring injury is not serious.
- The A's DFA'd Jay Witasick and called up RHP Santiago Casilla from AAA Sacramento.
- Huston Street likely won't be able to play catch until Wednesday.
- Milton Bradley strined his right calf but is unlikely to repeat a DL stint. He is day-to-day.
- Adrian Beltre sprained his thumb and will miss three starts or so. Keep an eye on this, as hand injuries have a tendency to linger, and Beltre has been fairly productive for the M's this year (.274/.318/.482 with 9 HR).
