Dodgers Release Marlon "4+1" Anderson, Suspend Minor Leaguer, Promote Hu
According to Diamond Leung, the Dodgers were unable to find any takers for Marlon Anderson, and have released him. Also, Las Vegas 2B Sergio Garcia has been suspended for 100 games for testing positive for a banned substance, for the second time. Las Vegas's middle infield won't hurt much, as shortstop Chin-Lung Hu was promoted yesterday from Jacksonville after earning MVP honors at the Futures Game. (Hat tip: berkowit28.)
An incidental note: I'm about two-thirds of the way through the parser mods needed to bring the Minor League Scorebook posts back. If things go well, that series should be back tomorrow night.
Update: You'll always have a place in my heart, Marlon.
