Randy Johnson Finished?
The AP headline reads "Big Unit continues comeback but acknowledges he might be through", but the article itself provides only this weak reed upon which that rests:
"I think everybody in this clubhouse, maybe not the players but the coaching staff and front office, would like to know, and I would like to know, whether I'm going to be able to pitch and help this organization," he said. "If not, I think that I need to take care of things and they would need to take care of things.""Take care of things" equals retiring? Maybe so, but it seems a mite early. On the other hand, Johnson hasn't pitched in 24 days, and might not for the balance of the season, either.
The Big Unit is in the final year of a two-year deal that pays him $32M.
