Juan Rivera and the Bees weren't able to do much against a fairly mediocre starter, Greg Smith (2-2, 4.84 ERA), who got the win. Kendry Morales extended his hitting streak to six games; he's been on fire in the month of August, with a .451/.463/.725 line. Walks are still a problem for him: he has ten total for the year, but it should also be noted that he rarely strikes out (27 in 233 AB).

Clayton Fuller's homer was a seventh-inning solo shot. Christopher Garcia took four free passes, a season high for the first baseman, a heretical act that will undoubtedly get him expelled from the organization. (That's called sarcasm.) He's sporting a .333/.480/.474 line with the Angels, very similar to the .316/.426/.474 line he had with Orem earlier. Gotta love those walks.
