- Wily Mo Pena has cleared waivers.
- Speaking of the Bosox, the team signed recently released Oakland outfielder Bobby Kielty to a minor league contract.
- Mike Piazza has cleared waivers. Supposedly the A's and Piazza have a gentleman's agreement that he will not be traded.
