Dodgers Do It Not Quite All A-Loney: Dodgers 6, Padres 1
We've seen this play before, only last time it was a 5-0 shutout at Petco. Bills pitched a very good game, though not an ideal one — I emphatically do agree with Tony Jackson's criticism of his high pitch counts. Nevertheless, the Dodgers got a solid outing at from a guy who has turned into a Pads-stopper (career 3-1, 2.31 ERA against) when they needed it. James Loney and Jeff Kent both homered, and everybody (at the Ravine) went home happy; Loney even came within a triple of hitting for the cycle. What else could you ask for, except a do-over on August?
