Lance Parrish will not return as the Dodgers' manager at Great Lakes next year.
"I've had a wonderful experience here and everyone has been great to me," Parrish said. "I guess it's a part of the game of baseball. I'll move on and hopefully find another opportunity with another club."

Pullin: (W, 1-0) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
Another walkoff win and while Brandon Wood didn't drive it in (that was Adam Pavkovich who did the honors), he did start it with a leadoff single in the bottom of the ninth. The Bees trailed early 5-0 but came back for four in the fourth, aided by a pair of Sacramento errors, and survived five runs of bullpen leakage in the sixth and eighth; the Bees never led until the final at-bat, the only one that counted.

Jose Arredondo pitched a scoreless eighth, and Aaron Pullin got the win in relief.

The Bees go for a series sweep behind Jonathan Rouwenhorst later today.

2007-09-06: Cedar Rapids 2, Clinton 8 #
Bourjos: 1-4, 2 K
Phillips: 0-3, 1 K
Trumbo: 1-4, 1 RBI
Conger: 1-3, 1 BB, 2 K
Mount: 0-2, 1 BB
Herndon: 1.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 9.00 ERA
Cassevah: (L, 0-1) (in relief), 3.1 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 5 H, 5 K, 0 BB, 5.40 ERA
Cedar Rapids struck first in the first with two runs scored on a Mark Trumbo groundout and a Matt Sweeney single. A 62-minute rain delay chased both starters, Kasey Kiker for the LumberKings and David Herndon for the Kernels. Beau Jones, the eventual winner, and Bobby Cassevah, who took the loss, replaced them. Those two runs was all the scoring the Kernels could muster; Beau Jones and Ivan Izquierdo gave up two hits (four hits in the game) the rest of the way.

The first-round playoff series is tied 1-1, and should conclude later today.

2007-09-06: Orem 4, Ogden 5 #
Gronkowski: 2-4, 2 RBI
Anton: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 3.86 ERA
Armstrong: 5.0 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 H, 5 K, 1 BB, 6.80 ERA
Hurst: (BS, 3)(L, 3-3) (in relief), 0.1 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 H, 0 K, 1 BB, 5.31 ERA
Depending on how you look at it, Ogden staged an improbable four-run ninth-inning rally or Orem's bullpen suffered a heartburn-inducing meltdown, assisted by two errors in that inning alone, part of four Orem made on the night that eventually accounted for two unearned runs.

Orem faces Ogden for the last time this season tonight, and then plays an odd three games against Idaho Falls, one at home and two away.

Felix: (L, 0-1) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 9.00 ERA
The Storm put up crookeder numbers, and more of them, than the 66ers in a wild slugfest. Lake Elsinore's Kyle Blanks hit a three-run blast in the fifth to give his team the lead, one they padded in a four-run seventh that saw three Storm batters double. The 66ers tried to come back, scoring single runs in the eighth and ninth, the final tally coming on a Jamie Hoffmann leadoff homer, but weren't able to go any further.

The series is tied 1-1, and the final game of the series starts tonight at 7:07 pm.
