Kickoff: Rockies 4, Phillies 2

Yahoo Box for those so inclined...

Top 2nd: After trading a pair of zeros, the Rocks take an early lead on a Todd Helton triple and a Garret Atkins double. Cole Hamels is having a wobbly second, walking Ryan Spilborghs. Yorvit Torrealba knocks another one in on an up-the-middle single.

Hamels walks Kaz Matsui to load the bases and Troy Tulowitzki to push one across the plate after getting both batters into 0-2 counts. He does the same on Matt Holliday, but Holliday then strikes out to end a 40+ pitch frame for Hamels, whose weak performance has the Phils warming someone up in the bullpen. 3-0 Rockies.

Bottom 5th: Get sucked into a meeting, miss the really important stuff... anyway, Hamels settled down to retire 13 straight after that rough second inning. The Rocks give up a pair of solo shots to Aaron Rowand and Pat Burrell, but...

Top 8th: ... after LaTroy Hawkins gets out of the seventh with a scoreless frame, Matt Holliday rips a one-out solo shot to center to make it 4-2 Rocks. 'Bye, Flash.

Bottom 8th: Chase Utley strikes out for the fourth time at the hands of setup man Brian Fuentes. A golden sombrero in the postseason? I'm sure Bob Timmermann is calculating the last time that happened. If only I had the data.

Bottom 9th: Manny Corpas finishes the game with a 1-2-3 ninth, including a tough eight-pitch at-bat against Pat Burrell.
