Whew. With A Rush And A Push And The Win Is Ours: Dodgers 3, Giants 2
The only interesting thing about the Giants this year will be their starting pitching, which is why you should be applauding the Dodgers' late runs off starter Matt Cain. The best part of this game was the exciting conclusion, what with Rafael Furcal legging out the scoring tally on an infield single hit to Ray Durham off Delwyn Young's bat. But by far the best bit was Blake DeWitt continuing to make a case to stay on the 25-man. The kids are doing all right.Derek Lowe's bruised leg is a problem, and he's listed as day-to-day.
Then of course there was that silliness about Larry Bowa getting ejected for something-or-other, presumably straying from the third base coach's box.
I really wish I could answer Vinny's riddle at the end of the game (is this the first time two Japanese pitchers have both figured in the decision?), but I don't have enough database tables to do that.
Hey, MLBAM, Why Don't You Let Me Listen To Gameday Audio Anymore? Angels 9, Twins 1
It's gonna be a long season if I can't use MLB Gameday Audio. I just don't get 830 AM in our office building at all, tucked as it is in a Wilshire canyon, and especially with my office in the middle of the building. Feh.Apparently the Angels did everything right and turned the tables on the Twins from yesterday's game, with Jon Garland, who should know that team's hitters pretty well, getting the win. Of course, it was against a guy named Boof who sports a career 92 ERA+ in two years of work.
