Albuquerque pitching imploded in a big way in the seven-run fifth, with Dee Brown and Freddie Sandoval both driving in runs on bases-loaded walks; two Isotopes pitchers faced five batters before making the first out of the inning, with no ball hit harder than a single. In all, thirteen men came to the plate, four of whom walked to first.

Shane Loux picked up his fifth win of the season in his longest outing with the Bees. Jason Bulger pitched the ninth and gave up a run on two hits.

Statia: 0-3
Butcher: (L, 2-1), 2.1 IP, 6 R, 2 ER, 5 H, 0 K, 4 BB, 1 HR, 4.29 ERA
Brok Butcher left early in this abbreviated outing, his shortest of the year; he came unglued following Hainley Statia's throwing error in the second. The Travs got only two hits against Drillers starter Ching-Lung Lo.
2008-05-08: Arkansas 9, Tulsa 3 (7 innings) #
Statia: 2-5, 1 RBI

The Travs split the doubleheader, with Danny Ortega picking up his fourth win with a quality start despite a pair of homers. Adam Morrissey paced the team with two RBIs, one of them a one-out solo homer in the top of the second. Drew Toussaint also homered, a leadoff shot in the fifth, and his first of the season.
2008-05-08: Inland Empire 2, Rancho Cucamonga 3 (10 innings) #
Bourjos: 0-4
Trumbo: 0-4
Norman: 0-2, 2 BB, 1 K

Something wild: Barret Browning took his first blown save of the year when he wild pitched home Jaime Pedroza with Carlos Santana at the plate and two out. However, Quakes got it back on a scoring wild pitch of their own, a walkoff run with Mark Trumbo at the plate; Jordan Pratt previously walked the bases loaded with one out.

Jones, G: (L, 2-2) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 H, 0 K, 1 BB, 4.96 ERA
Something wild, part 2: Kind of surprising to see Andy LaRoche in this game considering the notes from last night. LaRoche appeared as a pinch-hitter in the 7th inning, replacing starter Eric Stults, so he must be day-to-day. LaRoche grounded out in his only at-bat, and was replaced in the next frame by Dwayne Pollok.

Las Vegas lost this game on Greg Jones' two-out wild pitch in the top of the 12th.
