In Which Tony Reagins Becomes A Felon
Maicer Izturis is a useful hitter and a good glove, Ned has already announced Kemp is on the block, so who's to say that a trade of Maicer Izturis for Matt Kemp couldn't go down, except for the obvious problem of Kemp becoming a 30-30 guy in an Angels uniform? It's so preposterous that you begin to think that all Ned's public fulminating is really about motivating Kemp through the press clippings — except for those idiotic trades with the then-Devil Rays that have helped propel them to where they are today.
Labels: angels, dodgers, trades
Comments:
If something goes down along these lines, I will henceforth refer to it only as "the scareduck trade."
Seriously, I think Ned might really *be* that retarded. And Arte only wants to trade for people whose contracts are controllable for a good long while. The Angels OF depth (below the ML level) is atrocious; Rivera/G.A. are gone next year no matter what, and the organization is swollen with shortstops. This might get done!
