Ooh, Scary, Scary: Angels 6, Orioles 5

There was something totally Count Floyd about this one...

Saunders was great through six, with the offense knocking around starter Brian Burres for five runs, two on a Torii Hunter double and the rest on homers from Juan Rivera and Casey Kotchman. But in the seventh with two out, Saunders fell apart and Mike for some reason seemed to forget that the point is to score more runs than the other guys. Hokie Joe gave up three in that inning before Mike finally brought the hook in the guise of Scot Shields, who struck out Brian Roberts on three consecutive pitches.

An insurance run later from GA to make it 6-4, and the Angels gave K-Rod the ball. Frankie got the first two easily but surrendered a solo homer to ex-Red-Sock Kevin Millar to make things interesting, and Brandon Fahey doubled to make things even more interesting. Luke Scott grounded out slowly, and j-u-s-t b-a-r-e-l-y fair to Casey Kotchman. The end.

Count Floyd??? Where in the world did you come up with that?

Scary, but not really. Frankie keeps doing this.

Once again, as with all of us, our writings expose a bit of our personalities.

Good Show!

Count Floyd!!
