That's A Big Johnson: Cubs 10, Diamondbacks 6
Top 8th: After Micah Owings walked the bases loaded and walked in a run to make the score 6-3, Reed Johnson hit the first pitch he saw off Leo Rosales out of the park for a grand slam, making it 10-3 Cubs. If the Cubbies can hold on, the Dodgers would be a game back of first place, and the Snakes would be under .500 again at 50-51.
Bottom 8th: Chris Snyder works a full count off Bobby Howry and crushes one into the left field bleachers to make it 10-6 Cubs. Howry hasn't looked good this year, and he's got the 5.25 ERA to prove it. Pinch hitter Alex Romero strikes out to end the frame, but the Snakes slither closer.
Bottom 9th: In keeping with his recent scary outings, Carlos Marmol gave up a couple baserunners but managed to keep Arizona from scoring. 10-6 Cubs, final, and the Diamondbacks fall back under .500, etc.
