O'Day: (S, 6), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 3.30 ERA
Brandon Wood homered in his second game of his last three, but it was contributions up and down the lineup that made this game work for the Bees. The lone exceptions were Brad Coon, who got the golden sombrero from the leadoff slot, and Dee Brown, who went 0-for-4 at cleanup.

Anthony Ortega got his fourth win in his fifth start at Salt Lake; he's had quality starts in all but one of his appearances since his promotion on August 4. Darren O'Day got the save, and even Chris Bootcheck contributed a zero frame if rather scarily, walking the first two in the ninth.

Strangely, despite their unstoppable early season, Salt Lake is the only team left in the PCL that has not yet clinched; Tacoma continues to dog them at five back, with a surprisingly large magic number of 10.

Comments:
Is Anthony Ortega someone to pay attention to? His peripherals are nothing to scream about, but he seems to be pretty effective in major hitter's parks like Rancho and Salt Lake, and he just turned 23 on Sunday.

Perhaps a future middle reliever of a more effective cast than Bootcheck or Moseley?

I'm guessing he's a slop-throwing righty mirror of Joe Saunders with less upside. But yeah, his early turn through the PCL is surprisingly good.
