Tribe Snaps Halos' Series Win Streak: Indians 4, Angels 3

Joe Saunders pitched a quality five inning start, but Justin Speier couldn't hold it. I guess the thinking must have been that Arredondo shouldn't be used every day, but Speier's failure ended up bringing in Arredondo anyway, so what was the point?

The offense had a grand total of one extra base hit, Erick Aybar's seventh-inning two-out double. You won't win a lot of ballgames that way.

Joe Saunders collided with Howie Kendrick in the third, but both are okay and Saunders is expected to make his next start.

isn't today's definition of a 'quality start' 6 innings pitched (with 3 or fewer given up)?

Saunders only went five and it took over 100 pitches.

nice to see Kendry back, but it's now time for Wood - his minor league career should be completely over any day now.

Sorry, I was in a giving-credit-where-credit-was-due frame of mind and completely lost the innings count.

For Wood's minor league career to be completely over, I would let him stay in Salt Lake, playing everyday, until September 1.

Aybar's been doing a good job.

Where do you play Wood in 2009, SS or 3B? Certainly they're not going to let him sit on the bench.
