Names Released For Veteran's Committee Consideration
The Baseball Hall of Fame released the candidates to be voted on by the Veterans' Committee, and they are: Dick Allen, Gil Hodges, Jim Kaat, Tony Oliva, Al Oliver, Vada Pinson, Ron Santo, Luis Tiant, Joe Torre and Maury Wills. Santo in my book should be an automatic lock; there is a playing case for Maury Wills, though his managerial career will probably keep him out. Knowing the previous work of the Committee, none of them will get in.
