Ejected, Not Dejected: Angels 5, Red Sox 4

Four Angels — Torii Hunter, Justin Speier, Mickey Hatcher, and Mike Scioscia, the latter really having to work at it — got ejected after notorious head-hunter Josh Beckett threw at Bobby Abreu's head following a called time-out. (Maybe Nick Adenhart's death really is making everyone emotional.) But by far the best part of this was handing Beckett a loss, especially considering it was Abreu who whacked a two-run RBI single.

Dustin Moseley looked to be coming unglued early after he gave up a pair of back-to-back homers in the second to Kevin Youkilis and J.D. Drew, but he posted a quality start despite himself, which is about the best outcome you can expect from him. Scary Shields (does he have a brother named Posh?) showed up, walked the bases loaded (and it largely wasn't being squeezed, but instead was plain wildness), and got out of the jam, miraculously.

And once again, the Angels have a winning record against the Sawx (so far).
