Dodgers Bludgeon Last-Place* Snakes: Dodgers 7, Diamondbacks 2
Actually kind of a boring Memorial Day game, with the Dodgers rolling out to an early 3-0 lead in the third on a pair of solo homers by Manny Ramirez and James Loney, of all people, and Russell Martin's RBI single; the Dodgers never trailed, though Vicente Padilla did give up a two-run jack to Chris Young, but that was the extent of the Snakes' scoring.
Jonathan Broxton pitched a scary ninth inning, allowing Chris Young and Miguel Montero to reach on a walk and a single, respectively, but otherwise Arizona pretty much leaked runs the rest of the way, so as to keep the outcome from being suspenseful. Manny Ramirez got ejected in the third, but it hardly mattered. Ronnie Belliard came within a triple of hitting for the cycle. The Snakes were never in it.
*At least, after today's game.
