Romine, An: 2-4, 1 3B, 2 RBI
Colmenares: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Moore: 1-2, 1 2B, 2 BB, 1 K
Nieves, Ab: 2-4, 1 2B
Fuller, C: 1-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI

Fish: (W, 1-0) (in relief), 0.2 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Kohn: (S, 1), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
The Quakes took an early lead in this one, but a three-run Lake Elsinore fourth — including a run on a throwing error by catcher Alberto Rosario — made it 5-3 quickly. The Quakes tacked on another in the sixth with an RBI single by Andrew Romine, but then — and in typical Angels fashion — the Quakes sent catcher Rosario, then on third, to his doom at the plate in a possible busted double steal. (Who sends catchers to steal home, anyway? The Angels ...)

In the seventh, Rancho very nearly ran themselves out of the inning, erasing Jeremy Moore on a 2-4 caught stealing immediately after he got a leadoff walk. Despite that, the Quakes managed a two-out rally consisting of Abel Nieves' single and an old-fashioned two-run homer by Clay Fuller. Michael Kohn got the save, retiring the side in order on swinging strikeouts.

Um, wow. Orem scored in crooked numbers in three different frames (five in the second, four in the sixth, and seven in the seventh), taking advantage of four Ogden errors to slaughter the Raptors. Orem catcher Carlos Ramirez drove in six runs by himself, the result of two bases-clearing doubles.
