The Bees continue to find ways to win, despite continuous rotations in and out of their lineup, rotation, and bullpen. Down 8-1 after five and a half, the Bees rallied for two in the sixth on Adam Pavkovich's RBI double, and then really hit the afterburners in the seventh by pushing six more across the plate on a fusillade of singles and walks.

Jeff Kennard picked up his first AAA win this season and his first decision after being promoted from Arkansas.

I direct your attention to the ten run ninth, which is to say, the 66ers were already winning by a 14-run margin before that insane frame started... scoring came on all manner of balls hit and not hit, and reads something like "The Twelve Days of Christmas" for baseball:
  • A scoring walk.
  • A scoring balk.
  • Two scoring singles.
  • Two homers, both by the same batter (Thomas Giles), one of which was a grand slam
Plain craziness. Inland Empire scored in crooked numbers in six different frames. Two Lancaster pitchers ended up with mid-double-digits ERAs (Luis Segovia: 63.00, and Daniel Nava: 40.50). Josh Papelbon was also one of the bloodied, giving up four runs, all earned, in one inning of work. Surprisingly, the weather was warm but not windy.
