- Those who say that Brandon Wood's appearance at first base is significant are right (ditto for S-Rod moving to second); the team is looking to give him defensive flexibility to play other positions to get his bat in the lineup.
Update: Cranky Stephen Smith poo-poohs this, but I think yesterday's comments by Tony Reagins sort of amplifies the possibilities.
- What were the Angels thinking, drafting U. Washington quarterback Jake Locker? He's not going back to baseball, Eddie. Give it up, and stop wasting draft picks.
