Another Love/Hate Letter To Batgirl

Dear Batgirl,

How happy we are in Angel-land! Not only did we defeat the evil Bitch Sox, not only did we avenge our earlier embarrassing loss to craptacular-while-he-was-an-Angel Chisox starter Scott Schoeneweis, but we managed to help out your beloved Twins, too! Isn't that a great feeling? Well, it will be, at least until Aug. 3-5 and 27-28, when we see each other again. Like a hopelessly dysfunctional marriage, we'll be clawing each other's eyes out soon -- just like old times!

Baseball Tonight ran a segment last night on the worst plays of the year, and included the Twins' wacky play in their May 30th game against the Royals. Sadly, ESPN did not consult with you on acquiring the rights to the Legovision recreation of the infamous not-really-yet-somehow-convincingly-similar-to a double play, so the segment failed to capture the true depth of the wackiness. You need to call them, and alert them to all that they're missing.

Love,

- Rob

Thanks, Angels!

Dear Rob,

We will cross the Angels/Twins bridge when we come to it. Let me now thank you for you excellent handling of the Bitch Sox.

Sincerely,
Batgirl

Thanks, Rob! Thanks, Angels! See ya soon!

Hmph. I was there and I'd consider it one of the best plays of the year for sheer entertainment value.

It was cruel to lure me into following a blind link which led me to read the phrase, "Adam Kennedy homered in three straight at-bats...," and thus re-live the horror of that unlikely event. But thanks to the Angels for kicking around the Bitch Sox, anyway.

I've always felt a strange bond with the Angels since 2002. They were like our spiritual brothers.

We couldn't have been beaten (in our miracle season of Hockey OR Baseball) by a nicer bunch of guys! I'll cheer for them as long as they aren't playing the Twins.
