Two Games
Angels 6, Indians Bearing Gift Runs 1

And they played 1-4 ball the next five games, going 0-3 against their principle rivals in the Wildcard. The End.
Except, well, not quite, but at four games out of the wildcard, they pretty much have to beat the A's now, and win all the other games. Did I mention that the A's are clobbering their competition recently? No?
Well, for now, we have Cleveland. At least we can beat teams that hand us leads.
Oh, yeah, Guillen's gone back home to have his hand checked (ouch), and Troy Glaus left the game early because of "irritation" in his shoulder. Oh, well.

You should at least have something to say about the fact that many have felt all along that the Dodgers are simply over-acheivers in a weak division. They're beating the weaklings as they should, but in against legitimate contenders, they struggle.
Green's second half offensive burst did exactly that: burst. Not a single hit in Arizona and I doubt if he hit .150 for the road trip. At least a couple of sorry plays in the outfield as well.
Hee Sop Choi needs to Hee Sop his way back to Pusan or Seoul or where ever.
The Dodgers have two offensive dead spots in the lineup at catcher and pitcher. Either Atlanta or St. Louis will bury them.

Beating the Yanks two of three at home doesn't count? Sweeping the Giants on the road doesn't count? Okay, so they came back and returned the favor, and yes, I get your point, but I guess I just get the feeling the Cards are about to unravel at any moment. Maybe not this year, but I don't find their pitching compelling.
I guess my point is that with the St Louis staff "not all that compelling", my concerns are even more magnified. With a few exceptions they have lately struggled offensively against most starting pitching but have been able to regroup when the weak bull pens take over. That just won't work against playoff caliber teams.
On an asisde, do you find it odd that Perez managed to miss the Yankees by changing his normal turn in the rotation and now St. Louis both on the road and at home by another mysterious injury?
