2004/2005 Offseason Resolutions
- I will not, until the season is over and the Dodgers have clinched, refer to the "Bonds and Schmidt and a bunch of shit" epithet ever again.
- I will try -- though it strains my little pessimist vitals -- to avoid declaring the season over until the Dodgers and Angels have at least started playing regular season games.
- I will wait until McCourt -- let's not kid ourselves, it's not DePodesta's bank account -- lets Beltre and Finley walk before slamming him.
- Lastly, I will avoid laughing when I read Jose Lima give quotes like
Saturday, I'm going to do my job and die on the mound. I'll pitch with a fractured thumb, but that won't hold me back. I'm a warrior.
Warrior? I thought you were a lounge singer!
