NLDS Game 2: Cardinals 8, Dodgers 3

Tracy said he did not think the [Jason Reid] incident would be a distraction to the team for Game 2 of the National League Division playoffs against St. Louis.

Well, so much for that one. Bradley's adventures in right field fueled a three-run Cardinals rally. Sure, he hit a home run in the fourth that helped, but the club lost three runs in that inning alone. He was playing like a man one strike away from losing his job, and he knew it.

Maybe he shoulda stayed benched.

Being right doesn't mean I like it at all; the offseason to come harbors nightmares I don't even want to think about, and all of them have Frank's bankrupt face attached to them.

Sloppy fielding, a team playing in fear and desperation, good at bats followed by an inability to execute with two outs -- it's embarrassing, really.

Turkey? Gravy? I'll tell you who the turkeys are...

Sad but true. On the other hand, anyone who refused to see this coming was whistling past the graveyard. These are not the D'Backs, Rockies or even the Padres or Giants with their pathetic bullpens and multi-run deficits cannot be overcome.

The Dodger off season wish (problem) list is a long and daunting one. Front line pitching, catcher, middle relief.... the list goes on. Beltre may continue to perform at a relatively high level but I doubt at the current one. Green's numbers were almost palatable if you forget the unforgettable facts that he makes 16 million and crumbles when it counts.

Bradley must go unless they become social workers instead of a baseball team, Perez always seems unhappy (do we really care?)and Finley is gathering all this in to help formulate his future plans while wondering if his paycheck will clear the bank.

Would you choose the Dodgers?
