OT: The Belated MVP Award
Imagine hitting 60 homers in a season, carrying your team through a World Series championship, and only thirty years later receiving an MVP for the effort.
That's what happens, in essence, every year with the Nobel Prize. This year's physics award went to three men who discovered how the "strong force" works -- the strong force being the one that holds atomic nuclei together.
They did their work in the 1970's. And so the men the year before them, and those the year before that. Peer review's a bitch!
