Rule 5 Draft Dodgers

... and they're all Dodgers; the Angels didn't acquire or lose a single player. Here's the Baseball America event blog.

Dodger losses:

RHP Marcos Carvajal, to the Brewers
LHP Matt Merricks, to the Rockies
OF Shane Victorino, to the Phillies; it was the second time in four years he has been acquired in the Rule 5 draft.

Dodger acquisitions:

RHP D. J. Houlton, from the Astros

Update, 3:31 PM: The Dodgers have a press release up about this. The following other players were selected from the Dodgers in the AAA round of the draft:

LHP Arturo Lopez, to San Diego
INF Brennan King, to Kansas City
OF Alejandro De Aza, to Florida
INF Brett Wayne, to Tampa Bay.

In the Double-A phase:

C Jared Price, to Kansas City
RHP Steve Langone, to Boston

BA now has their complete summary up. BA claims the Angels selected one player in the second round of the AA draft, RHP Philip Wilson, but I can't find any data on him in either BA or Baseball Cube. The Angels do have a RHP starter Phil Wilson at Rancho, but he looks more like organizational filler than a serious prospect (been in the system since 2000 and never advanced beyond single-A?). Maybe this was reported backwards. Update: my bad, I read the table backwards. He is going to Tampa Bay.
