Media Notes
It just never ends around here. Two items from LA Observed, who was nice enough to link to me earlier in the week:
- First, KFWB will start streaming their broadcasts starting March 14. Does that mean you can pick up Dodgers broadcasts for free? I rather doubt it, but it's no doubt worth a try.
- Second, the Times and Register are rumored to be Pulitzer nominees in the Public Service category, the former for their six-part coverage of the mess at King-Drew Medical Center, and the latter for a multi-part story about poisonous Mexican candy.
- In that same story:
Register staffers continue to marvel at the disbanding of the Times' once-formidable Orange County staff. Latest to leave is courts reporter Stuart Pfeiffer, said to be headed for the L.A. County Hall of Administration beat...There are whispers in the ranks (probably fueled by some personnel cuts last week) that Dean Singleton may be looking to sell the Los Angeles News Group, the organizational structure over the Daily News, Press-Telegram, San Gabriel Tribune and other papers.
