Streak: W1: Dodgers 6, Padres 4
Jeff Kent is a gorgeous, statuesque ballplayer marred by a permanent sneer. The only time he smiles is when he's ready to drop an F-bomb, or chew out an umpire, as he did today prior to his ejection. He's an odd contradiction, abrasive before the camera and prickly on the field (as when he was chewing out Choi the other day after Choi's misplay at first). Did his ejection "get the team fired up", as Mark Gubicza suggested? I find it unlikely. If the Dodgers need Kent to get ejected to score runs, the Dodgers will find themselves without a useful bat most of the year. More, DePo needs to get better players. But we knew that already.
I still think the Pads win the next one and the Dodgers lose twice against the Angels.
