Minor League Scorebook

Warmup notes: And with that, here we go...
2005-08-23: Sacramento 7, Salt Lake 2
Prieto: 2-4
Callaspo, A: 1-4, 1 RBI
Mathis, J: 0-3
Allen: 1-2, 2 BB
Gorneault: 0-3
Escobar: 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 4 K, 2 BB, 3.38 ERA
Hunter: (L, 0-2) (in relief), 2.2 IP, 6 ER, 6 H, 1 K, 4 BB, 6.17 ERA
Prinz: 1.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 3.86 ERA
A five-run third torpedoed the Stingers, in Escobar's first rehab assignment for Salt Lake. Bret Prinz had a decent game, though.
2005-08-23: Wichita 9, Arkansas 8
Aybar, E: 2-4
Willits, R: 1-5
Kendrick, H: 1-3
Murphy: 2-4, 1 HR, 4 RBI
Morales, K: 1-4, 1 HR, 3 RBI

Serrano: (L, 2-2) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 1.26 ERA
Very bad game for Davidson, who I had higher hopes for. Tommy Murphy and Kendry Morales both had three-run homers; Erick Aybar was caught stealing, and made a throwing error; David Matranga made a fielding error also.
2005-08-23: High Desert 4, Rancho Cucamonga 6
Peel, A: 2-5, 1 RBI
Wood, B: 4-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI
Pali: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI

Buckley: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 4.10 ERA
Zimmermann: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 3.25 ERA
Home runs number 40 and 41 for Wood, who retakes the professional baseball lead from Andruw Jones.

Kuo: 2.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 3 K, 1 BB, 1.37 ERA
A good game for Hanrahan; Miller pitched to one batter in the seventh, and was pulled, no reason given. Ruggiano and LaRoche in particular stood out, hitting three doubles (1 and 2 respectively) between them.

Comments:
tiffany doesn't get a bold?

-vishal

Tiffany didn't make the Baseball America top 30 Dodger prospects this year. That was my base list (that and minor leaguers who have impressed me in some way or another, and major leaguers in rehab assignments).

Actually, strike that. You're right, I missed him. He'll go in starting with tomorrow's list.
