Bombers Bummed At Texas Takeout

Without even so much as a trace of irony, Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees are apparently upset at Rangers manager Buck Showalter for pulling his starting infielders Michael Young, Mark Teixeira and Hank Blalock in the third inning.
"There's a code of honor when so much is on the line," Rodriguez told the New York Daily News. "You hope people do the right thing. But you can't control what people do."

Yankees manager Joe Torre was equally surprised.

"It's surprising," Torre told The New York Times. "If his team was in the playoffs, I could understand it a little bit more. It's just surprising he pulled them so soon."

Well, come on, guys. It's not as though the Yanks were trying all that hard to win their game, now was it? I mean, why start Jaret Wright over Mike Mussina if it was such a big deal? Or is it the rest of the league's responsibility to ensure Yankee victory?

Comments:
Yeah, that is being ridiculous.

Pfft. Mark Bellhorn stared at short on Sunday instead of Jeter. The Indians are just soooo grateful for Torre's stinking Code of Honor.
