Scott Spiezio Charged With Assault

Via U.S.S. Mariner, Scott Spiezio and girlfriend Jennifer Pankratz were charged with assault during a fracas in which they refused to pay a cabbie. Bad enough Speez can't hit on the field, but apparently he failed to hit (the cabbie) off the field, too...

Update 10/9: This Chicago Tribune story says Spiezio is a "former major league baseball player". Who am I to disagree?

Spiezio's defense begings to take shape. He can call his old Mariners to testify that he is incapable of hitting anything.

His Sandfrog ex-buddies can also say that if he couldn't hit a note, how coule he hit a cabbie?
