- The Diamondbacks acquired Johnny Estrada from the Braves, in exchange for relievers Oscar Villareal and Lance Cormier.
- The Burroughs-for-Brazelton swap between the Padres and Devil Rays is a done deal.
- John Wasdin will return to the Rangers on a $600,000, one-year deal.
- The Boston Herald says a Mark Loretta for Doug Mirabelli deal is done. They may as well trade for Wakefield, too...
- The Padres are working the Royals for Mark Sweeney; supposedly the Dodgers have interest, too.
- The M's are expected to make their initial offer to free agent outfielder Jacque Jones.
