Worried? Don't Be, Angel Fans

Josh and Richard go at it today in their first big post in quite a while, this about the Angels' roller-coaster-scary offseason. Richard closes by saying, "I'm not at all convinced that Bill Stoneman has any kind of long-term plan [for] this club - here's hoping he proves me wrong this offseason." It's often times looked that way to me, too; why bother pursuing Konerko? Well, as one anonymous reader pointed out in the comments, the Riverside Press-Enterprise has a dandy of a story up about the Angels' offseason, including --

Comments:
Come on, OC has only been here for one year on a 4 year contract. If Stoneman does have a plan, there is no way he would trade him yet. I say that if Wood has another season like last year next year, OC could quickly be gone.

Good luck to the Red Sox, they will never get equal value for Manny.

one amusing aspect of the press enterprise article is beat writer matt hursh's exasperation with bill stoneman . . . he clearly thinks stoneman is nuts not to give up some of the team's better prospects

I didn't quite read it that way, but I'll grant you a lot of these guys just seem too eager to make nonsensical trades.

DaVanon has been DFA'd.

With Erstad back in the outfield, the Angels have no use for DaVanon, I guess.
