Deja Vu: Travs Pick Tyrone Boykin To Replace Tom Gamboa
The minors have their offseason happenings, too, and while it's not as eventful as the majors, they usually have more to do with the front office and management staff. Angels shortstop Brandon Wood will be reunited with his Rancho manager (assuming he plays at the AA level) when Tyrone Boykin replaces Tom Gamboa as Arkansas' manager for 2006. Boykin managed the 2003 and 2004 Travs as well, and will be the last manager to pilot a Travs team at Ray Winder Field. Also assisting him will be batting coach Keith Johnson, pitching coach Ken Patterson, and trainer Aaron Wells.
