Great Starter's Ghost! M's Sign Appier To Minor League Deal
The M's have signed Kevin Appier and Fernando Vina to minor league deals. Appier hasn't pitched since April 23, 2004, when he blew out his elbow with the Royals, and Vina missed all of 2005 with the Tigers. Both have been extended invitations to spring training.
