- Sergio Pedroza was named Sally League Offensive Player of the Week:
Sergio Pedroza drove in nine runs to help Columbus rebound from a three-game losing streak with three straight wins. The 22-year-old outfielder/designated hitter doubled in two runs before launching a game-deciding grand slam home run, as the Catfish outslugged Asheville, 14-10, on April 23.
- According to Travelerocity, former Razorback Devin Day has been promoted to AA Arkansas.
- Speaking of the Travs, supposedly Howie Kendrick and Brandon Wood stay in close contact by cellphone. Hopefully, they won't need it once they're in the same dugout, and soon...

Matt Pali came in to restore order after Hawkins couldn't record an out against the next seven batters, but then Pali gave up a run on a wild pitch strikeout. Adding insult to injury, Michael Collins recorded three errors, two on throws and one on catcher's interference.

eh, it's a regular season minor league game, so winning or losing that particular one doesn't matter all that much. i just root for the prospects to do well.
if the A's and dodgers meet in the world series, i would be happy no matter who won, and just root for a good game. i would feel like i already had won before game 1 even started. if it had been a long time for one of the teams, i'd probably root for that one slightly but not be disappointed either way.
